Prohibition of ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited, both within the premises of the institution and on public transport. An Anti-Ragging Committee has been established to ensure the safety of students and to prevent any acts of misbehaviour or misconduct.

Any individual or collective act of ragging constitutes gross indiscipline and will attract strict disciplinary action against those found guilty

Definition of Ragging

Ragging includes any act, conduct, or practice by which senior students assert dominance, power, or status over newly enrolled students or students considered junior or inferior. This includes individual or collective acts that cause physical or psychological harm, harassment, or embarrassment to others.

Examples of ragging may include, but are not limited to:

  • Forcing a student to perform tasks unrelated to academics or degrading in nature
  • Physical or mental harassment
  • Conduct causing mental trauma or fear

Strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in ragging to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
